It is with great pleasure that we announce that Rick Altinger is now part of Amicomed’s Advisory Board.
Rick Altinger has great expertise in the digital health field and we are excited by the idea that he will be part of Amicomed’s growth.
Rick Altinger has spent 30 years in the technology industry, concentrating on healthcare information technologies for the last 20 years. He was hired as Glooko’s first CEO in January 2013 shortly after Glooko received its first FDA clearance. Prior to Glooko, he was Vice President in the healthcare business unit of Intuit where he launched the healthcare division’s provider services and drove the effort that resulted in Intuit acquiring Medfusion in May 2010. Prior to joining Intuit, Rick was an Executive Vice President at VantageMed, an EHR and billing services company that he helped turnaround and successfully sell. He also served as Vice President of Business Development at Healtheon/WebMD where he set product strategy and drove major acquisitions including Envoy, Medical Manger, Kinetra and MedE America. He joined Healtheon/WebMD as the 25th employee and helped rapidly grow the company to over $1B in revenue. Prior to his business development role at Healtheon/WebMD, Rick Altinger played numerous roles including leading product management, account management and systems integration. Rick received a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an M.S. in engineering management from Stanford University.
With his specialties in innovative healthcare solutions, he will play a key role in launching Amicomed in the United States.
